Carmen Vraciu

Even though my academic background and professional life were unrelated to painting, 13 years ago, I decided to cultivate my love for art and began taking painting classes. I started to explore this entirely unfamiliar territory, and it changed my life.

Timidly at first, I began working on my own, not just under the guidance of my teacher, artist Fabiana Dima. I started to experiment with different themes and techniques, trying to discover what defines me as an artist. I learned, first and foremost, that I need to try, not be afraid, and that in art, there are no mistakes.

Today, I can say that I am no longer afraid of "colored grays" or contrasts. I have created my own style by working hard and bringing together my observational skills, patience, and the courage to experiment.

13 years of trials in this realm of painting! I have learned and evolved a lot: I have participated in creative camps and both collective and personal exhibitions, I formed a painting group with whom I've brought many joint projects to life over these 13 years, I've written and illustrated a children's book, and I've developed my own style.
